Two Middle School Teams Place in Chess Tournament

Two Pine-Richland Middle School teams placed in the Northern Area Gifted Consortium Chess Tournament on December 5.

In the 11-20 rankings grouping, the 7th/8th grade team of Ellis Cenk, Jack DeVore, Alex Farrar, Atharva Nagrath, Dean Simpson and Abhaya Tuladhar placed 1st. 

In the 1-10 rankings grouping, the 7th/8th grade team of Zane Bowen, Luke Guo, Brendan Priscott, Ajay Ramakrishnan, Jackson Shames, Kabir Singh and Ryan Zheng placed third. 

Dean Simpson placed 4th in the individual competition in the 11-20 rankings grouping.
