Two Middle School Teams Place Highly in AIU History Bowl Competition

Two Pine-Richland Middle School GATE teams placed in Monday's History Bowl at the Heinz History Center.

Taking first place and scoring a whopping 98/100 was the team of Ariel Brotherson, Matthew DeVito, Ryann Mandel, Atharva Nagrath and Lorelei Vernon. Placing third with an impressive 87/100 was the team of Natalia Laurenson, Adalyn Russler and Avery Sudo.

In this one-day competition hosted by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, student teams worked through exhibits to solve challenges, answer thought-provoking questions and flex their creative thinking and writing skills.
