PSSA Testing Reminders

English Language Arts testing will be administered on April 22, 23 and 25. 

Students are not permitted to have any electronic devices, apart from their district-issued Chromebook for testing and allowable calculators for specified portions of the exams in certain grade levels per the policy. This includes cell phones, smartphones, smartwatches, e-readers, Nooks, Kindles, iPods, tablets, camera-ready devices, and any other electronic devices which can be used to photograph or duplicate test materials, or access the Internet and/or communicate with others during the administration of the PSSA or Keystone Exams. Please speak with your child(ren) about the importance of placing these devices in the provided and directed secure location (e.g. a bin secured at the front of the room) when prompted by the test administrator; failure to do so will result in disciplinary action. Electronic devices must remain in that secure location until the testing session is complete for all students in that setting and all test materials have been collected by the test administrator.

Students must arrive at school on time so that they can start the test with their classmates. Students who arrive after 7:50 am will spend the testing session in the library and have to take the test at a later date.

These same practices will be applied for Math and Science PSSAs the following week, as well as the Keystones on May 14 and 15.

Period 1: 9:53 - 10:21 am (28 minutes)

Period 3: 10:55 - 11:23 am (28 minutes)

Period 4: 11:26 - 11:54 am (28 minutes)

Period 5: 11:57 am - 12:27 pm (30 minutes)

Period 6: 12:30 - 1:00 pm (30 minutes)

Period 7: 1:03 - 1:33 pm (30 minutes)

Period 8: 1:36 - 2:04 pm (28 minutes)
