Middle School Team Places Second in Science Competition

A team of Pine-Richland seventh- and eighth-grade students placed second in the SciYinz Squad Judo-Bot Rumble held November 21 at Kamin Science Center.

Eighth-graders Amelia Pozelock and Lorelei Vernon and seventh-graders Jaya Allen and Rowan Normandeau participated in the STEM-based event in which the team faced an on-the-spot robotics challenge. They were tasked with building simple bots designed to push or grapple opponents using basic engineering and physics principles.
