doctor talks to students in a classroom

Pine-Richland Middle School hosted Career Day for seventh-grade students on November 5, welcoming in parents and grandparents of current students who talked about their education and careers.

Fifteen professionals, representing careers in accounting, law, medicine, finance, education, business, pharmacy and law enforcement, spoke to students, sharing their day-to-day responsibilities, career paths and educational backgrounds.

Speakers brought their presentations to life with photos and video and some used hands-on demonstrations to engage the students, and students in turn asked thoughtful questions.

Pine-Richland Middle School holds Career Day annually for its students, introducing them to a variety of careers and opportunities to help them start thinking about their own goals and aspirations.
