Principals' Message—January 9, 2026
PRMS Students and Parents,
We hope you had a wonderful holiday break and are feeling refreshed as we return to finish Quarter 2 strong. January is a busy month at PRMS, filled with academic milestones and exciting rewards.
To prepare for April’s PSSAs, we are introducing FireFly testing, a new assessment from the Pennsylvania Department of Education designed to help teachers tailor their instruction to student needs.

On January 13 and January 20, PRMS will hold Math and English FireFly testing, respectively. On these days, we will test from 7:45-9:45 AM, followed by a two-hour delay schedule so students can still attend all nine periods. Please ensure your student is present and punctual. To minimize disruptions, late and absent students will complete their assessment during a scheduled makeup session.
As we move into Quarter 3, the RAMS Way program is launching the Golden Ticket program! This initiative recognizes students who consistently demonstrate positive behaviors. Students who earn a Golden Ticket will be invited to a Movie Day on January 30.
It’s been a great year at PRMS with many students celebrated for their academic and day-to-day success with the Student of Quarter Awards and our Winter Raffles prizes. Thanks to the Parent-Student Association, over 10 students received incredible prizes from donors like Cam Heyward and Kendra Scott. We also wrapped up the year with our first-ever Masked Singer assembly—a fantastic way to head into the holidays!
We look forward to a productive and positive 2026.
Dr. Kristofic & Ms. Berezo
