Principals' Message—August 15, 2025

Dear Pine-Richland Middle School Parents and Students,

We hope this letter finds you enjoying a relaxing and fun-filled summer with family and friends. As we look ahead to the 2025–26 school year, we’re filled with excitement and anticipation for the meaningful learning and growth that lies ahead for our PRMS students, staff, and families.

This year, our building theme is “Learning is a Journey, Not a Destination.” This theme reflects our belief that education isn’t about reaching a finish line, but about embracing a path of continuous discovery, reflection, and exploration. Whether it’s inside the classroom, through school activities, or in everyday interactions, we’re dedicated to helping students see that learning is an ongoing adventure with countless milestones to celebrate and future goals to chase! 

Because we believe learning happens both inside and outside the classroom, we encourage students to get involved and make a difference. Joining a club or activity is a great way to explore new interests, meet new friends, and build valuable skills. You can find a full list of offerings in your student’s school-issued planner and in the Student Handbook on the website at this link. Students will receive their school-issued planner on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 20, 2025.  

First Day Details & Daily Schedule

Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

• Arrival: When students arrive by bus, they should report to the gyms until 7:30 a.m.
• Homeroom/First Period: At 7:30 a.m., the bell will ring, and students will head to their first-period class, which will also serve as their homeroom.
• School Day: School officially begins at 7:45 a.m. and dismissal is at 2:36 p.m.
• To support our district’s commitment to student health and wellness, we kindly ask that car riders not be dropped off earlier than 7:20 a.m. This helps ensure everyone gets adequate rest.

Student Schedules & Information Access

Middle school students can access their schedules, locker numbers, combinations, and bus information starting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025.

Middle School Visitation Times

Tuesday, August 12: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 13 & Thursday, August 14: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Monday, August 18: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Please bring a printed copy of your schedule and locker information to help you locate your classrooms and locker.

Welcome to the District: Family Orientation

If you're new to the Pine-Richland School District, we extend a special welcome to you! Join us for our Welcome to the District: Family Orientation in the Middle School Auditorium on Tuesday, August 12 at 1:00 p.m. We can't wait to introduce you to PRMS!
