In May, we honored seventh and eighth-grade merit scholars, students who have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout the school year, as well as merit scholars with distinction, eighth-grade students who maintained a 4.0 GPA in both seventh and eighth grade.

Volunteers from Mrs. Angeloff's 8th grade art classes created a kindness mural across from the cafeteria. Using the theme of the seasons, students created original images in the letters using permanent markers and paint. Students can stand in the I spot and finish the I in Kindness while having their pictures taken.

Eighth-graders Desolina Postreich and Tyler Coyne were presented with the American Legion School Award from the Richland American Legion Post 548 on May 22. The award is given annually to two outstanding eighth-grade students as selected by middle school faculty for scholarship, honor, service, patriotism, leadership and courage.

Eighth-grader Carter Straub was awarded a scholarship to attend the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Air Academy Camp in Wisconsin this summer. Aimed at flight enthusiasts ages 14-18, the camp offers flight simulations, interactive workshops, aviation demonstrations and classroom instruction.

Student Art Projects Displayed at the Pine Community Center

Pine-Richland student art is on display at Pine Community Center through mid-January in the fourth year of a partnership with Pine Township. All members of the community are encouraged to stop by to see what our K-8 students have been working on this school year! 

Presentation on Responsible Reporting and Suicide Prevention

At Pine-Richland Middle School, we continue to empower our students to build resiliency. We continue to foster resiliency by strengthening protective factors, including identifying family and peer support, connecting school and community resources, and creating easy access to effective medical and mental health services.
